Great space, prime location, good communitysubmitted by Darla B. - |Recommended: YesLiving on 2nd avenue can have its challenges, but I do love walking into my space at the end of the day where I can retreat. Generally, it's a quiet community of professionals that understand loft living. There are the few new comers who have yet to understand loud music and talking partying will seep through walls in old buildings. But it doesn't take long for them to quiet down. You will also have guests staying in apartments that aren't as considerate and are just here for vacation. But those moments are rare. If you end up getting a parking space in the building, that's a plus because the loading zone space used for those that have to park across the street is always full. Sometimes used by guests for the full weekend. When the space is available, it is really nice to be able to unload your car and transport to your loft right inside the building. All in all, it really is a beautiful space if you like this type of architecture. The staff are always available and maintenance is very quick to respond to issues. All of the other tenants I've met are extremely friendly.
response from property -Thank you Darla. We love that you can call your home your retreat after a long day. The Lofts at 160 are truly unique downtown living experience.
A beautiful and unique place to call home in the heart of the citysubmitted by Ethan H. - |Recommended: YesThe Lofts at 160 is a great option for someone who wants to live right downtown and take advantage of all the entertainment Nashville has to offer. The apartments and fixtures are decent, albeit a little shabby or run down in some respects. The exterior of the community is well-insulated from the noise of the street, but inside, you will hear just about every movement, dog bark, and conversation that happens inside your neighbors' homes. Aesthetically, the community is beautiful overall
Not Badsubmitted by Mary - |Recommended: NoWe rented a studio apartment for a year and decided we did not want to renew our lease. These apartments for all intents and purposes were nice to live in. Management did a good job responding quickly and effectively. However, the rent was high for 600 sq ft and after our lease was up it was going to increase to renew. The apartment itself had everything we needed but was mildly outdated. You can't beat the location if you want to live downtown and security was never a concern, we felt very safe. The biggest issues for us were noise and just the strain of living on 2nd ave. Not only was there a lot of noise from outside- events like concerts and football could clearly be heard at any time of day or night- but also we could often hear our neighbors. If someone was listening to music at 6am, well, we were forced to wake up at that time. Using earplugs to sleep became the norm. Also, there are road closures weekly so you may have trouble driving around. We couldn't wait to move out.

Great downtown apartmentssubmitted by Alex C. - |Recommended: YesI've lived in three different apartments at the lofts and enjoyed all three of them. Noise - If you get an apartment overlooking 1st or 2nd avenue then you get noise from the street, but it's not bad. It's what you'd expect living downtown. If you live in one of the indoor facing apartments, then it'd extremely quiet. The only things you hear are fireworks and CMA Fest, otherwise you don't even hear your neighbors. Look - The old factory features are great looking and the atrium that leads to the apartments always surprises new guests. Pets - They allow pets, but only to 30lbs and it can be a pain to take them out to grass on 1st avenue as compared to if you just walked out the door like a home. Again, for downtown living, it's nothing bad. I wish they would allow exceptions to the dog policy, but allowing them to an extent is much better than other places down here. Neighbors - The only issue I've had since living here was a neighbor renting out on AirBnb. I've seen quite a few other random people staying here from AirBnb and it can cause issues since they'll be loud and legally we're not allowed to rent them out anyways. Overall a great experience.
response from property -Thank you so much for your kind words, it really means a lot to us since there are so many other places you could call home but choose us instead, Please let us know of any apartments that may have Airbnb in them as we will cancel the actual lease holders lease immediately should we find that to be the case. Please anyone that is reading these reviews the Stahlman and the Lofts at 160 do not allow subletting or Airbnb occupants, These two apartments are for leaseholders and their temporary guests. We would love to hear from all of you. Again, thank you for calling us home.
